The Laurels of University Park is very pleased that many surgeons and attending physicians follow their patients at our facility.
If your physician does not have admitting privileges, our Medical Director or other attending physician will be happy to oversee your care while you are staying with us. Danny W. Felty, MD, FAAFP, CMD
Medical Director
Dr. Danny Felty is a distinguished graduate of Virginia Military Institute, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1994. He earned his degree of Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1998 and completed his residency at the same institution in 2001. Dr. Felty has been with Legacy Care since 2013. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, outdoor sports, and activities with his local church.
Arleeta Diggs, MD
Attending Physician
Dr. Arleeta Diggs is a board certified family physician who was born and raised in Glen Allen, Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Howard University and her medical doctorate was obtained from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA . Her family medicine residency was completed at Hanover Family Physicians in conjunction with Virginia Commonwealth University. Over the past 15 years she has had practices in Colonial Heights, VA and in Richmond, VA.
Padma Dharanikota, MD
Attending Physician
Dr. Dharanikota has worked as a hospitalist at CJW Medical Center since 2004 and as been with Legacy Care since 2019 providing care for residents at skilled nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She has over 20 years of diverse medical experience, particulary in internal medicine and geriatrics.
Dr. Drharanikota completed medical school in India and her residency at Mclaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Mich.
In her free time, Dr. D enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
